Do Athletes Need Special Résumés?

Athletes are competing to get into a college both academically and athletically. Yes, they need separate résumés to set them apart as athlete applicants, too!

So how do you showcase your athletic talents and accomplishments in a separate résumé? It is true your high school résumé will catalog your athletic accomplishments in the extra-curricular section. But, you need to highlight your best athletic talent, the one you hope to play at the college level and the one you might entertain a scholarship for, in the athletic résumé. The athletic résumé allows you to be more specific by adding your stats, coach’s comments, and playing specifics like position and scores.
