College Tuition Breaks

The new normal is flat revenue for colleges. Colleges can increase enrollment more and more for only so long. Flat enrollment is now a boon to college students and their parents!

Here are some college tuition deals to be aware of:

The Midwest Student Exchange Program – Residents of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin can attend over 100 colleges in this region at no more than 150% of their own in-state tuition for specific programs in other states. This discount allows for more students to seek out-of-state colleges for reduced cost.

The Sothern Regional Education Board’s Academic Common Market – Residents or Maryland and Virginia will get an in-state tuition in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia if the degree program they want is not available at their own state public campus.

Discounts at the University of Maine – This is perhaps one of the best deals right now. The flagship campus of the University of Maine System in Orono is offering tuition discounts to resident students of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont if they have a GPA of 3.00 and SAT scores of 1050. The discount includes matching your in-state tuition and a $9,000 offset.

Students looking to save money on their undergraduate degrees to start careers or go to graduate school should take advantage of these tuition breaks.
