The advice is pretty consistent: You need to visit a campus to know whether or not you really like it. The most important thing about a college visit is that it should give you a feel for the campus, its student population, the tone of the academics, and a sense of the student life. Most of all, you want to be comfortable with your home for the next four or more years.

Of course, College Basics has some tips for visiting the college campuses you are considering and what to ask when you’re there. An Education & Career article Be A Campus Detective also offers some helpful considerations.

But, what might be very helpful is to share some feedback about campuses among potential applicants across the country so we invite you to share your impressions of colleges you have visited. Such a pool of information can only help–because two heads are better than one, so to speak!
