Here are some tips to nudge you in the direction:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, <\/span><b>focus on areas of weakness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If you\u2019re not sure which category you\u2019re weak in, give the practice NCLEX-RN exam a go, and use it to narrow down your shortcomings.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Know the <\/span><b>type of questions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the NCLEX will present. Here is a brief rundown:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Multiple choice questions have the highest percentage. These questions will have four possible choices. You\u2019ll have to choose the most accurate choice.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Multiple response questions are a bit different. In these, you\u2019ll have to choose all the correct choices\u2014not just one.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, comes the charts and graphs section. In these, you\u2019ll have to interpret the information given in the chart to give the best possible answer.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drug questions will involve mathematical calculations. Make sure you\u2019re well-acquainted with different formulae before attempting this section.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ordered response questions will require you to arrange responses in order of correctness.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You might also encounter graphic questions on the test. In a graphic test, instead of words or numbers, images are given as multiple choices. You have to choose the picture that accurately answers the question.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t Self-Evaluate During The Test<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NCLEX is based on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsbn.org\/1216.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">computerized adaptive testing (CAT)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 No test is identical. Each exam has a different set of questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The test repository is also very comprehensive. You\u2019re given a variety of question types, from multiple choice questions to charts. You\u2019re required to answer at least 75 questions on the NCLEX. The maximum number of questions is 265, with a time cap of 6 hours.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NCLEX exam also follows the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsbn.org\/5908.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">95% confidence interval rule<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If you answer enough questions correctly, you will cross the pass line with 95% confidence interval.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, if your test performance is below par, you\u2019ll stay below the 95% mark. At the end of the test, you have to make sure you\u2019re above the pass line.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The difficulty of questions increases as your test performance improves and decreases as you answer a string of wrong questions. It\u2019s important to get entangled in complexities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t evaluate yourself after every question. If the test algorithm delivers a couple of easy questions, don\u2019t think you\u2019re failing the test.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just tackle each question to the best of your knowledge and mental capacity. Sometimes, the questions that might seem easy to you are difficult for other test-takers.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It all boils down to how much you can take. You\u2019ll have to activate your textbook brain to get the best possible results.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Invest In Resources\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Investing in NCLEX review materials and resources are a big help.
